The name La Mesa is derived from the Spanish language meaning ‘The Table’ and in this context it is meant as an invitation to our potential guests to join us at ‘The Table’ for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Our Theme is unmistakeably Mediterranean which is reflected not only in our our menu, but also in the subtle ambience created by cosy lighting, a touch of jipsy jazz style music, and a welcoming and friendly staff who will attend to your every need.
In keeping with our theme we have incorporated an extensive Tapas selection, an ingeneous Spanish concept which provides a delicious selection of light ‘to be shared’ platters such as Aubergine Parcels with Fennel Seed Stuffing and Deep Fried Polenta with Capers & Olives which can be nibbled whilst browsing the dinner menu or just with a glass of wine if a full meal was not your intention. All adding to a truly relaxed Mediterranean experience.
Our menu has been created to provide innovative and imaginative food which at the same time is not complicated or over prepared. Our range, we hope, can cater for all tastes from those who enjoy steak to people with a more delicate vegetarian palate.
If you would like to adapt any dish to your particular taste this may be possible as all our dishes are ‘cooked from fresh’. In the same respect please understand that preparation times may vary depending on number of customers and nature of food.
